Human Roll: I’m On Another Episode of Drunk Anime

I drew for Drunk Anime again. How Drunk Anime works? First, the cast gets drunk and films themselves brainstorming an anime concept. Then we film an artist reacting to the cast’s footage. Lastly, we film the artist drawing the concept art. Put it all together and you have Drunk Anime.

We needed an artist so I drew for this episode. Even though I handled the camera when we shot the brainstorming sessions, I zoned out by the time we got to this one (I was exhausted). The only thing I remembered from this episode was the word cannibalism. But I had no idea how the actual story played out, so my artist reaction would be a genuine one.

I won’t explain the full story here, but I begrudgingly admit that Human Roll could work as an actual anime. Think Tokyo Ghoul and Attack on Titan with Junji Ito vibes. As disturbing as this concept was, I had fun drawing it. Looking back, I would’ve added more to the illustration, but I think I conveyed what I wanted in the short time that I drew it.
